Chi-town meets Troubletown

I'm going to be one of the speakers at HOW Magazine's Creative Freelancer's Conference in Chicago, August 27-29, at da Hyatt. My session is called "A Quick and Dirty Look at Proposals and Contracts." Why me? Because I'm hilarious and I have an encyclopedic knowledge of freelancer's business issues. They say that I'm very wise.

Seriously, take a look at the speakers and topics, this will be a great conference for people going freelance, voluntarily or otherwise, and even long-time solo practitioners that could use a little kick in the butt.

And then... Friday night: The Troubletown Told You So Book Tour Lurches on to Chi-town!
Featuring Lloyd Dangle LIVE – and his Comedy Floor Show Slideshow! At Quimby's Bookstore, a Chicago institution.

Does anybody even know my stuff in Chicago? I'm not in the Reader. It's going to be hard to top my last event at Book Zoo in Oakland. After the two-carousel spiel, a fairly large gang of hipsters and inked-up dolls copped leans against bookshelves, or collapsed onto the sofa drinking beer out of bottles until way past closing time. Nobody who came to watch me spout off and grow ever more grandiose and unrestrained went away disappointed.

Please tell your friends in Chicago that Dangle is a must-see.
