Yep - been there. It's like Oakland but without the fancy location attracting gentrifiers.
Might be a good place to start an urban garden, though.
A few years ago some outfit advanced a plan for citizens,not agribusiness, to farm,not garden,the wide open spaces and homestead a lot of what's just sitting there.
Good idea despite the fact that it'll be a return to life on the frontier a la 1700s.
Now,if Michigan did a California re:"medicinal marihoochee"...
