I once attended a lecture by economist John Kenneth Galbraith. He summarized trickle-down economics as "If you feed enough oats to the horse, some will pass through to feed the sparrows".
OMG so true. Just the other day I got a check from the government for a zillion dollars because I was already rich. Happens to me all the time.
