Yes, the NPR/Volvo revolution begins! How dare those horrible rural Wisconsinites vote in someone who is impervious to our collective whining? How dare those receive our precious services— for which we are paid and pensioned well beyond those who pay our salaries— tell us that they don't value us as much as we value ourselves? You know what we should do? Let's make sure the democratic process is shut down. Let's exploit the states inability to fire us, shut down schools, and pretend we're radicals for a week or so, while those Democrats whos strings we pull deny the majority the ability to follow through with the perfectly legal and reasonable process we demand be afforded to us at every turn.
I'm doing the same thing you do, Lloyd; I'm commenting on current events. It's just not in comic form. Whatsa difference? If you don't want to engage in a dialog, that could be easily accomplished. Are the comments reserved for fanboys only?
I don't like Walker, but I like the khaki-clad Prius drivers less.
Also, I drop by cartoonists' blogs because I'm an amateur cartoonist. I'm a fan of cartooning, and believe it or not, I'm a fan of yours. I just don't share your politics.
I'M A REASONABLE MAN, YOU BASTARD!!!!
JK.
I'll try to not get too heated. You can do what you want on your blog, but — and if you look at our last go-round you'll know this is true— you participate in cranking up the heat yourself.
As for Walker, I think it's stupid of him to pretend that it's all a matter of fixing the budget. I'd support him much more if he talked about principle and explained why he's opposed to large unions.
FDR warned against giving the power of collective bargaining to state employees because they could essentially hold the state hostage. Organized labor was meant to even the playing field, not up-turn it.
And yes, when my daughter is napping, I do have time on my hands.
That Volvo thing is a little out of date, Uland. I see many, many Volvos driving around with Republican or conservative-typ bumper stickers on them. There are still some hippy-style Volvos around, but they are all 80s models and are gradually disappearing. If you ever left your house you would know this.
So, it's trolling when it's an unpopular idea being expressed, but a-ok in every other instance? Bullshit. I'm just taking part in a dialog. You just don't like my positions.
btw_ you're right about the Volvo thing. switch it to Prius.
No, I agree. That Khaki revolution bit is pretty funny.
Did you guys see footage of the passage of the bill on the house floor? The "workers" were fatter than the Republicans! It was like the House was outlawing donuts or something, all those screaming fat white guys… They're hungry for justice!

Yea! Uland's back! The guy with zero respect for me but lots of extra time on his hands. I like it better when you talk about the Frankfurt School.
Zero respect for anyone, including himself. He's a troll-aholic.

The Khaki Revolution slouches onward!
That was me, Uland.

Don't sell yourself short.
