Try Self-Torture
Folks, I don't know about you, but Spring is here and the allergies are killing. My son walks up to trees and shakes them because he thinks it's funny to watch the pollen fall out onto daddy's head. Last night I had to pick up some friends at the airport but I had a railsplitting sinus headache. So I did what my acupuncturist suggested. Fill up a magic lamp with saline solution and pour it right into your sinuses. This produces the sensation of having dribble running down your face and neck. Don't do it with a nice shirt on. Then, she suggests that you tip your head back and let the saline go through your nose and back into your throat. Essentially, it's waterboarding! It produces the feeling that you have always tried to avoid while swimming, but afterward it feels great. I can do it for ten minutes. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed could only hold out for five.
