I couldn’t believe it when I saw this the other night. Lawrence O’Donnell called this cartoon a racist obscenity and went on and on over it pleading with the cartoonist’s mother, friends, and wife to make him stop. Maybe it’s racist to show a black woman eating hamburgers. Maybe it’s racist to show Obama with comically large ears. What do you think?
Every cartoonist toils away in obscurity and can’t buy a mention in the media until they eventually do something that’s picked up on as obscene or offensive. Then they get their fifteen minutes in the spotlight. You see it all the time.
In light of this, it’s a good day to play Offendo. Help me get my fifteen minutes of abuse from a sanctimonious TV host.
